Triple H is one of wrestlings biggest stars. As a youngster he was a wrestling fan and his favorite wrestler was Ric Flair. After becoming involved with body building he met Ted Arcidi and began to consider a career in professional wrestling. In 1992 he enrolled in wrestling school and later joined the IWF using the name Terra Ryzing. Triple H joined the WCW in 1993 still using the name Terra Ryzing. That was changed to Jean-Paul Lévesque before he joined the WWF in 1995, later his name would be changed to Triple H. The name Triple H comes from another former ring name which was Hunter Hearst Helmsley. As part of a storyline Triple H married Stephanie McMahon and later in real life would marry Stephanie on October 25, 2003.
Overall, Triple H is a twelve-time world champion: a seven-time and current WWE Champion, and a five-time World Heavyweight Champion. In 1997 Triple H became part of D-Generation X which included Shawn Michaels, Chyna and Rick Rude. By January 2000, already a three-time WWF champion, Triple H had dubbed himself "The Game," implying that he was at the top of the wrestling world.
The 2000 and 2001 years were known as the McMahon-Helmsley era as Triple H and Mr. McMahon feuded." During the May 21, 2001 broadcast of Raw, he suffered a legitimate and career-threatening injury. In the night's main event, he and Steve Austin were defending the Tag Team title against Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit. At one point, Jericho had Austin trapped in the Walls of Jericho submission hold. Triple H ran-in to break it up, but just as he did, he suffered a tear in his left quadriceps muscle, causing it to come completely off the bone. Despite his inability to place any weight on his leg, Triple H was able to complete the match. He even allowed Jericho to put him in the Walls of Jericho, a move that places considerable stress on the quadriceps. The tear required an operation, which was performed by orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews. This injury brought an abrupt end to the McMahon-Helmsley Era, as the rigorous rehabilitation process kept Triple H out of action for over eight months, completely missing the Invasion storyline of WCW/ECW.
He made his return on January 7, 2002 and at Wrestlemania X8 beat Jericho for the WWF Undisputed Championship, he would later lose it to Hulk Hogan. Triple H would later become part of a stable called Evolution along with Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Batista. At No Mercy in 2007 Triple H would beat Randy Orton, making Triple H an eleven-time world champion. Orton would later win a match to take the title back but then at Backlash Triple H would once again claim the gold.
Triple H was drafted from Raw to Smackdown during the 2008 WWE draft, taking the WWE title with him to Smackdown. Edge welcomed Triple H to Smackdown by telling him that Smackdown belonged to Edge. Triple H started feuding with Edge and during Edge and Vickie Guerrero's wedding celebration Triple H revealed a videotape of Edge cheating on Vickie. On July 20, 2008 at the Great American Bash Triple H defended his title against Edge.
On August 18, 2008 Triple H would defend his WWE Title against the great Khali. Triple H was victorious after hitting his signature move the Pedigree on Khali.
On September 7, 2008 at Unforgiven, Triple H would defend his WWE championship in a scramble match. The match featured MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Jeff Hardy and Brian Kendrick. Triple H would not have to be pinned to lose his WWE championship belt in the match, the winner would be the one who last covered another superstar at the end of the 20 minute match. Jeff Hardy looked like he would become the new WWE champion after pinning Brian Kendrick but with only seconds left Triple H pinned MVP to retain his WWE championship.
On the October 24, 2008 edition of Smackdown, Triple H would have to defend his WWE title against the Undertaker. There was no decision in the match though as it was interrupted by the Big Show.
With Jeff Hardy coming so close in that Unforgiven match it led to a feud between two fan favorites. On the September 12, 2008 edition of Smackdown a few insults were exchanged by the two superstars in the ring. Later that evening Jeff Hardy won a fatal four way match against MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Brian Kendrick, the winner of that match would earn the right to face Triple H for the WWE championship at No Mercy. At No Mercy Triple H was able to defend his WWE title in a hard fought match. On the October 10 edition of Smackdown it was made clear that Jeff Hardy still sought after Triple H's title. It was also made clear that the Big Show and Vladimir Koslov had their eyes on the WWE title.
On October 26, 2008 at Cyber Sunday Triple H defended his WWE title against Jeff Hardy. Triple H was able to hit the Pedigree and capture the pinfall victory to defend his title.
On November 23, 2008 at Survivor Series Jeff Hardy would have once again another shot at Triple H's WWE title in a triple threat match involving Vladimir Koslov but it was reported that Jeff Hardy had been attacked by a mysterious assailant so he was not going to be able to compete. It ended up being just Koslov battling Triple H for the WWE title. After working on each other and both men layed out in the ring Smackdown GM Vickie Guerrero appeared to announce that this will be a Triple Threat as originally planned. The Rated-R superstar Edge then came rushing in to the ring and though Jeff Hardy later rushed to the ring and hit Edge over the head with a chair, Edge would recover and get the pinfall on Triple H to take Triple H's WWE title away.

Edge had an opportunity to recapture the WWE title at Armageddon on 12-14-08. HHH battled Jeff Hardy and Edge in a triple threat match. Triple H ended up hitting the Pedigree on Edge but then Jeff Hardy took advantage of that and hit the Swanton and got the pin and the victory thus ruining HHH's opportunity.
At the 2009 Royal Rumble event Tripe H was runner up to winner Randy Orton. Triple H eliminated Dibiase and Rhodes, but then Orton snuck behind Triple H to eliminate him and win the Royal Rumble.
On February 15, 2009 Triple H took part in the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out. Participants of the match were Edge (who was defending his WWE title), Jeff Hardy, Big Show, Undertaker, Vladimir Koslov and of course Triple H. The match went down to only Triple H and the Undertaker remaining. In a great match, Triple H was finally able to end it with a Pedigree and a pin as Edge became the new WWE Champion.
On the February 16, 2009 episode of Raw, Triple H made an appearance aiding Stephanie and Shane McMahon, after they were attacked by Randy Orton. On the February 20 episode of SmackDown, Triple H was interviewed by Jim Ross, in the interview, footage was shown highlighting the events that occurred on the February 16 episode of Raw. Ross asked Triple H how he felt seeing that footage, in response, he broke character (after 5 years of marriage) by admitting that Vince McMahon is his father-in-law, that Shane is his brother-in-law, and that Stephanie is his wife, thus creating a rivalry between Triple H and Randy Orton. On the February 23 episode of Raw, Triple H confronted Orton, before attacking him, Ted DiBiase, and Cody Rhodes with a sledgehammer and chasing them from the arena.
Triple H battled Randy Orton to defend his WWE title on April 5th, 2009 at Wrestlemania 25! In that match Triple H ended it in stylish fashion by hitting his Pedigree move before getting the pin on Orton. Triple H celebrated his revengeful victory.
During the 2009 WWE Draft, Triple H was drafted from SmackDown to Raw; since he was the reigning WWE Champion during this time, he brought the title to Raw due to draft regulations. At Backlash, Triple H lost the WWE Championship to Randy Orton after The Legacy defeated Triple H, Shane McMahon and Batista in a six-man tag team match. Triple H was taken out on a stretcher and it was said the next night on Raw that he would be out for an unknown amount of time.
Triple H returned on the June 8 episode of Raw, when he confronted The Legacy. Legacy was shocked when they were expecting Batista to come out to face Orton for the WWE title. Actually they didn't expect Batista to make it as Legacy had injured him earlier on the show which had Batista taken away in an ambulance. When Batista's music hit there was no Batista coming out and it was agreed that if Batista doesn't show then the WWE title would be awarded to Randy Orton. Triple H shocked Legacy though when he came out. Rhodes and DiBiase tried to protect Orton by meeting Triple H on the ramp but Triple H's sledgehammer took care of them. Triple H and Orton started going at it in the ring until Triple H hit Orton with a Spinebuster. HHH smashed the chair on Orton's skull, then flexed for the crowd before smashing the chair on Orton repeatedly. HHH stood with one foot on Orton's head, then drove the top of the chair into the back of his neck. With Orton layed out, the fans began to chant "Pedigree!" so HHH placed the chair on the mat, then picked up Orton and Pedigreed him right onto the chair to finish him off. Orton layed face down on the mat. with HHH posing as Raw went off the air.
On the June 15, 2009 episode of Raw held was a 10 man battle Royal to determine the WWE Title #1 Contender against Orton. Earlier that evening there was a fatal 4-way match between Orton, Triple H, Big Show and John Cena for the vacant WWE title in which Randy Orton had won. Competing in the 10 man battle royal match were Triple H, John Cena, Big Show, The Miz, MVP, William Regal, Kofi Kingston, Cody Rhodes, Ted Dibiase and Matt Hardy. As the match was underway, Randy Orton came out from backstage to watch the match from the ramp. The match came down to Triple H, Rhodes, Dibiase and Cena. Cena managed to eliminate Dibiase first dumping him out. HHH then clotheslined Rhodes out. Triple H eliminated John Cena to become the #1 Contender for the WWE Title to face Randy Orton at the Bash. As Orton looked down to the ring in horror at his future opponent, Donald Trump's music hit and Trump's picture appeared on the big screen. Trump congratulated HHH for the win. Trump said they won't wait for the Bash to have the WWE title match, they'll do it next week on Raw in a Last Man Standing Match. Raw went off the air with HHH pointing to Orton up on the ramp to give him notice.
The next week on Raw Triple H battled Orton for the WWE championship in a Last Man Standing match. Lillian Garcia gave the rules that the only way to win is to incapacitate your opponent so they can't answer the ref's 10 count. Late in the match HHH finally hit the Pedigree, but his hurt knee also hit the steel ramp. Both men were down as the ref counted. Triple H tried to use the ladder to get to his feet, but it slid forward and he fell. The ref told Lillian neither man answered the 10 count, so Orton retained. Match a draw when neither man could answer the ref's 10 count, so Orton retains the WWE Title.
On June 28, 2009 at the Bash, Triple H would again battle Randy Orton for the WWE title. This time yhough it would be a (3 Stages of Hell ) WWE Title Match. The first stage of this hellish contest was a standard wrestling match in which Orton won when HHH was disqualified after smashing a chair over Orton's head, this pur Orton up 1-0. The second stage was a Falls Count Anywhere match which HHH won evening it up 1-1. The final stage of Hell in this contest was a Stretcher Match. Triple H almost had stage 3 won as he put Orton on the stretcher, Cody Rhodes rushed out to prevent him from crossing the line. HHH took Rhodes down, but as he went back to the stretcher for Orton, Ted Dibiase came out to attack. Rhodes & Dibiase attacked HHH putting him on the stretcher with HHH fighting back. Eventually, Triple H grabbed his Sledgehammer to take Dibiase and Rhodes down. Orton had some sort of weapon of his own which he attacked HHH with from behind, then placed HHH on a stretcher to wheel him across the finish line to win the 3 Stages of Hell match and retain the WWE title.
The fued continued and HHH had another opportunity at the WWE championship on July 26, 2009 at Night of Champions. The match featured Triple H, John Cena and WWE champion Randy Orton. Randy Orton once again was able to retain his WWE championship.
Throughout the following weeks on Raw Triple H would fued with Legacy facing Rhodes and DiBiase in various matches.
On the August 10, 2009 episode of Raw Footage was shown of Triple H's visit to Houston, Texas. HHH was on his cell phone leaving a message for Shawn Michaels. The next week on Raw a white limo was shown arriving in the garage with DX painted on its sides. Triple H stepped out first and started to walk, then went back to the car to get HBK. He grabbed Michaels and pulled him out, then the two started walking on their way to the arena. Out in the dark arena, the DX theme music started up with the fans going wild. DX got into the ring with the fans still going wild. it was the incarnation of DX! After several minutes of dancing around, crotch chops and pyro smoke, the crowd started to chant for D-X. HHH delivered the "Are you ready?" lines to the crowd, and got on the corner to ask if the fans were ready. Just then, Legacy was in the ring to attack out of nowhere. Rhodes and Dibiase took down both men, tossing HHH to the outside, then shoving Michaels into the corner. Triple H got back in the ring and started trying to fight both guys on his own, but he was quickly put back down to the mat. Rhodes pulled one of Michaels' boots off and Dibiase held HHH so Rhodes could clock him in the head. Rhodes turned and smashed the boot on Michaels as he tried to grab Rhodes' leg. A second shot was delivered by the boot to HHH's head. Dibiase took a mic and got down in HHH's face saying he had the answer to his question "yes, we are ready".
Triple H and Shawn Michaels would get their revenge on August 23, 2009 at Summerslam. D-Generation X was in full affect when toward the end of the match Triple H hit the Pedigree on Rhodes and Michaels was able to hit the Sweet Chin Music on Rhodes to end the match.
