Eve Torres went to college at USC and graduated in 2006. She then began her career as a dancer and model and ended up landing a spot as a member of Spirit Dance Team which are the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers dancers. She also did some actress work and appeared on the soap opera 'Days of our Lives'. In the summer of 2007 Eve entered the WWE diva contest. The final two divas left were Eve Torres and Brook Gilbertsen. Eve was crowned the winner on the October 29 episode of RAW and won $250,000 and a one year WWE contract. So began her wrestling training! She made her SMACKDOWN debut on the February 1, 2008 episode of SMACKDOWN when she interviewed Batista. She later competed in a SMACKDOWN diva contest were her opponents were Michelle McCool, Cherry, Maryse and Victoria. She was the third diva eliminated from the contest which was voted upon by the WWE fans. Eve then started mostly doing backstage interviews for Smackdown but she has also wrestled at Wrestlemania 24 in the Lumberjill in the Bunnymania match.On September 19, 2008 edition of SmackDown, Eve asked General Manager Vickie Guerrero for a match, but Vickie just laughed and teased her.
Torres participated in the Halloween Costume Contest on October 26, 2008 at Cyber Sunday, Torres was dressed as Raphael from the Ninja Turtles.
On November 3, 2008 the 800th episode of RAW, Eve made her in-ring debut in a 16 Diva Tag-Team Match. Eve and her team of Candice Michelle, Mae Young, Tiffany, Michelle McCool, Mickie James, Kelly Kelly and Brie Bella, came up on the short end.
On November 7, 2008 editon of SmackDown, Eve asked for advice about training for wrestling from Michelle McCool, until Maria interrupted, and Eve said she would talk to Michelle later.
On the January 2 edition of SmackDown, Torres was attacked by Michelle McCool after earlier telling McCool during an interview that she should apologize to Maria for the rude actions she has made the week before. At a series of house shows Eve showed off her improved wrestling abilities when she defeated Natalya on several occasions.
On the February 6 edition of SmackDown, Torres made her singles match debut in a losing effort against McCool via submission.
